Fall Detection Safety

One in four Americans over 65 fall each year. Every 11 seconds a senior is treated for a fall. And every 19 mins a senior will die from a fall. The total cost each year of treating falls is $67.5b. 75% of falls occur at night based on bathroom related activities.

Today fall detection technology is focused on wearable fall devices. That is fine technology from the 1980’s, but how many seniors wear watches or necklaces to bed?

There is finally a device that mounts on the wall, that can detect falls as they happen and send out multiple alerts. Non-invasive enough to put in every room including bathrooms.

1）Left bed reminder–To avoid any accident when elderly people left bed at night

2）Awake reminder–To take care of elderly people who is hard to fall asleep

3）Sitting up reminder–Elderly people with special attention (such as needing help

getting out of bed) may want to leave the bed

4）Abnormal heart rate and breathing–Tachycardia, bradycardia, Tachypnea, bradypnea may be

some signal of diseases

5）Body movement reminder–NO body movement or frequent body movement is

abnormal.

6）Turning over–Help certain elderly people to turn over in time to avoid

bedsore.
